hi yes thats the one i had family in hopwood st joseph owens, thinking about it i dont think they would be in sumner st i think it may be eldon st as i have them last there on the 1901 census, roll on the 1911 census !! the trouble is john is in the merchant navy and his wife jane may have been staying with relatives,

hi mandy thanks for all your help, can i be really cheeky and ask for one more look up in the 1911 , its for a john boyd and a samuel blundell they may be listed as tailors or retired tailors in the west derby/kirkdale area

the only John Boyd in the right area is but there is no occupation listed

the only Samuel Blundell is a boiler maker in Bootle

possibly in 1938-the old curiosity vaults-or it could be on or near a street or lane called park lane????? As i am not from liverpool i am not sure of the areas??? If i can confirm the pub and its address it would be a big help. thankyou

Hi,the Curiosity vaults was at 95 Park Lane /Dickenson Street. the name of the licencee was Charles Cassidy in 1938. Hope this helps.
