Well me being a kid at the time...I don't remember me old fella struggling to get the Ford Popular up the welsh moutain roads, every weekend we went and camped through Wales and Caernarfon countryside. Most 4 cylinder cars had that problem on the extreme welsh hills.
Things I remember....sheep sticking thier heads in the tent late at night...baaaa,baaaa.
Fireflys on the outsideof the tent.
Bloody freezing cold when you woke up in the morning with mountain dew on the ground.
it is in Conwy, Wales.
Great pic Leon, where is it?
When the smoke has cleared and the bullets cease.another soldier rests in peace. The politicians who caused the fight, rest at home no danger in sight
Castle is a dead giveaway Bernie,Conwy
Awesome picture of the waterfront
Lovely picture Smurf.
Ta, Was taken in Swansea and it's a few years old now
Like to insert two if I may, both exhibits from this years Biennial...
Really...it's always been a bit of a mysterious place to me! Low profile, for a community type place!
Smurfs Quite right, its the Black-E, Just inside the entrance. The photo does no justice, its 7 meteres tall and is very impressive! All part of the Biennal installations.
Take a look inside the Black-E too, theres some great works inside.
'Black-E'????? Perhaps someone could explain. Ta.
Another Biennial Photo....."Touch and Go"
I am so glad the Black-E is not next to the 'Ba-Gum'.
Thanks to Steve & Corky for the info, Must have missed the earlier post's! I do remember the building, passed it often on my way from Lark Lane to my work at the Radium Inst.
