The Wilkinsons one is on a building that was a very short lived cinema, and even one of the places where Billy Fury appeared!
I had no idea. I took a photo of the old cinema that was opposite. I didn't bother with the 3 on East Prescot Rd as they've had photos posted up before. Oh well.

spotted the Wilkinsons sign from the bus on the way to check Woolies at Penny Lane.
Should have got off bus then as Woolies is just a white tiled floor now.

I've edited my post about Billy Fury after I checked my notes.

ah that one ,I took 2 pics of the billiard hall sign yest, but forgot to post them.

the Wilkinsons sign is not on that building. The Wilkies one is near Green Lane...the old Billiard Hall is by the meat market.

That's a coincidence about Wilkinsons, because they were on the ground floor of the Embassy Club (former Stanley Billiard Hall) for years, and did have a similar sign on the side of the building!

nice idea, but we'd have to split up or we'd all end up with the same photos.

I was saying to Ged today we should have a badge so we can recognise each other when out and about photographing. I saw someone taking pics of a tower today. I took a couple of tower myself but he'd gone before I could go over and ask if he was off the forum.
