wish this barbers was still going. my hubby used to use it and the old window was full of packaging for stuff that wasn't available anymore. Ron Brown was his name, had a dog that looked liked he used to practice on it I'm told.
and this gem in Walton...the top bit is J Jones and Co. the underneath is more obvious Knotty Ash Ales.

Lots I've never seen.
The Wilkinsons one is on a building that was a very short lived cinema, and even one of the places where Billy Fury may have appeared!
This is the building, in Prescot Road.
You can make out 'Stanley Billiard Hall', but if you look even closer, it also says 'Stanley Picturedrome'.
It was built as a billiard hall, was a cinema from 1910 to 1915, then reverted to a billiard hall (after the New Premier opened).
It was later the Embassy night club where, in December 1968, it was announced that Billy Fury would appear.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find out whether he actually did!
