    That white cladding has all been removed now, revealing the original frontage underneath.

    The most unusual ad I remember was the one for Manns Brown Ale. The billboards adds didn't last to long and you will understand why. The ad depicted a party situation with a number of people drinking Manns Brown Ale and the slogan read;

    "Enjoy a Manns Brown and widen the circle of your friends". These adds appeared in the early sixties.

    Back then it would have been more likely to appear on 'Dolly's', the 'Duck House' or the 'Old Dive'.

    DronePilot.

    Where is your Prebbles?
    I like to take pics of the complete building (& try to find out the date).

    I know the other one is in Kensington.

    Later.
    Sorry, it's not Kensington, but Prescot Road/Bell Street.

    The one I was thinking of was the one Gnomie posted.
    It's not in Kensington (sorry).
    It's in Prescot Road, on the corner of Bell Street.

    This one is on the bottom of Kelvin Grove as you turn into South Street

    Will probably be demolished along with the Welsh streets....

    but I think the other side of Kelvin Grove is staying.

    Default Irwin's Grocers Mossley Hill

    Interesting Irwin's mosaic tile advert on the side of 2 Allerton Rd, Mossley Hill. A betting shop now occupies the premises.
