    Default just wondering ...

Just wondering ... who leaves their computer on stand-by and who closes it down at the end of each day ?

Over time, I've heard conflicting views - some say they shut down their pc, but others say that it doesn't do your pc any good by constantly stopping and starting it.

I've always left the computer on stand-by.

Hi Lindylou, I leave mine on standby and my updates for Windows, Norton and Spyware all kick in during the early hours and run their checks as well.

    Same here

You are right Lindylou in that there are conflicting views on leaving on 24/7 or turning off at night, does it harm your computer, will it crash, does it cause problems with your operating system, I don't know the answers to these question, I just leave mine on, that what happens in work, my computer goes to standby.
