    Default Netherfield Road 1927

I have deliberately avoided selecting photographs from well-known sources such as the City Engineer’s Collection in the Liverpool Record Office. Fantastic. My Nan is from Amos Street in Everton, she tells me she used to walk Netherfield Road all the way to West Derby Road for a loaf of bread with her brother in his pram! The things we take for granted nowadays!

    Thanks for sharing.

Photo 2. L. Barker's shop window:- underneath the sign "Home Made Ices" there's another sign that says what looks like....

    "We Give Blue Trading Stamps"

I was wondering whether this was similar to Green Shield Stamps?

Photo 4. The Landing closeup. Notice the chalked squares and numbers on the door, is this part of some children's game?

    Thanks,
