Smile Old Photographs of Liverpool Parks.

    Hi,
Ihave seen some wonderful Victorian/Edwardian photographs of Liverpool parks over the years, but cannot access them on the Web.One i am obsessed with aquiring is of a Victorian Lady walking alongside the Allerton Oak dressed in a long ornate period costume,i seem to remember she has a tiny umbrella up(perhaps)Anyway it was on a wall in frame in a Pub in Woolton Village about 20 years ago. Also the old Postcards to be seen on Ebay on this subject are amazing, with Calderstones,Sefton Park and Stanley Park looking fantastic. What a pity they are not as they were then. Can anyone suggest where to find these pictures, thank's.

Just picked up 3 books of Paul Bolger series, " Postcard Photographers of Liverpool and District 1900 to 1930" some brilliant pics in them. First published in 2008 at £10;99 each but now £4;99 in the book clearance shop in St Johns.

Sounds like a book I might like. Thanks for the tip, Joe.

Default Looking for the name of the Public House at 340 Great Howard Street early 1900s

I am researching my family history and would like to get a copy of A-Z & Directory of Liverpool Central by Paul Bolger, but it is out of print. Can anyone help please?

Failing that, if you do have a copy, would you be able to check an entry for me please? I am looking for the name of the Public House at 340 Great Howard Street on the corner of Blackstone Street.
