Thread: Paradox/Littlewoods, Aintree

    Default Paradox/Littlewoods, Aintree

Went past the remains this morning and there were mobile phone contractors removing the masts from the top of the tower which I think was the only reason this was left standing when they demolished the rest of it. I don't think there will be much time to get any final pictures people...

"Good work Raymondo, I'm bumping you back up to DS, only this time make sure it stands for Detective Seargent and not Dog Sh*t..."

Last I heard, the owners of Aintree retail park had bought it. Most probably to build more stores.

A retail park PLUS 5 wind turbines was the last I heard.

There's two wind turbines next to where I work in Wavertree - trouble is, they seem not to go when it's blowing a gale yet virtually take off on a sunny day!!

BTW, Paradox was Vernons, not Littlewoods.

    Lovely photo.
The part that's left was just the tower in the middle of the building.

They're leaving the tower apparently. The new stuff will be built around it.

Im not too sure this is 100% correct but from what I have heard the Vernons tower is a listed building.

it certainly is a listed building.

the pub next to it was the manhatten, which was where everyone drank 1st... its not a restuarant called preggo
