    Default Virgin Active Fitness Gyms

I've heard a little rumour that Virgin are building a Gymnasium almost behind the present David Lloyd Leisure Centre at the old aerodrome, speke.

Expect prices to drop if the rumours are true

Where's the gym by Sevvy park? I used to go to the one on Wavertree Hight Street, The Training Station its called.

Am a member of the council-run LifeStyles gyms. Offer very good value for money.

Unfortunately due to ongoing hernia problems, I'm only swimming at the moment. Enjoying the sauna facilities though!

Hey i hope they do build a virgin gym, they are much cheaper. To be honest, liverpool is crying out for a major city centre gym.....would be good if they could redevelop the area around lime st/cannon/wetherspoons building as some kind indoor leisure area including a gym, bars, restaurants etc, like the printworks in manchester. The buildings are the same style and that has done quite well. It would be an excuse to develop what is a tired group of buildings.

Liverpool does seem to stick its leisure facilities in daft places. Total fitness in edge lane is crying out for members, its to difficult to reach unless you drive. David lloyd, greens, all car-orientated and dont take advantage of the city living which is increasing. Other than that you have the cramped lifestyles at lcc, or expensive hotel gyms.......there is a defo gap in the market, our manchester friends have six city centre gyms.

    Virgin
    LA FITNESS
    Fitness First
    Bannatyns
    Holmes Place
    living well

and a stream of hotel gyms...

maybe the liverpool one development will spot the opportunity

    Default City Centre gyms

There's a gym in the Albert Dock, one up London Road towards the Royal Hospital, one in Old Haymarket (brand new) and there was one in the Adelphi.

Is the one by the Royal by the Lung Cancer research place?

Alot gyms have a lack of proper weights, mostly machines and cardio machines.

I need to buy new gloves for weights though leathers too worn and It slips outta my hands sometimes!

No way would I want 120kg dropping on my feet!
