He was a Detective in the 1940s/50s who led major crime invetigations in Liverpool such as the Cameo murders, The Old Curiosity shop Killing and the Cranbourne Road murder.

Sounds really interesting, how long have you been doing this Steve?

How can you find out where your relatives are buried?
To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world.

    Hi
about 2 years. If a persons relative is in Anfield you need to know
the section and plot number, ie CE12 594 which is church of england
section 12 plot 594, you then get a section plot map and go looking.
I can usually find a person as long as I have full name and date they
died, sometimes it is hard work as the plot is unmarked.
Can usualy do most cems in Liverpool as I do have the maps.
    This works for most cems.
Have a look at my site

    www.liverpool-cemeteries.co.uk
Still building it, not enough hours in the day

An uncle of mine used to take me when he went to his mothers grave and we would go to my Gran's and put flowers for her and I missed her and do to this day even though I was just a kid when she died. I lived with her when I was about 5 or 6 as my parents both worked. Is it Anfield where you can hear the roar from both football stadiums?

I have been on that Liverpool cemeteries site. My Grandmother was buried in her family plot as my Grandfather was Catholic and buried in a Catholic only cemetery, don't know where. He died when my father was a child. Silly isn't it, not to be buried together.

Her name was Harriet Cook (nee Heron) and it was about 1956 I think
