    Default Japha look up

    hello Gnomie

many thanks for this offer. I am trying to find out where Wiiliam Japha is buried. He died in 1891 (June I think). I believe he was living in Everton at the time (47 Village street?)

Never been sure how to look up burial places

    many thanks for your help

    Hi Denis
I don't know where he was buried but was wondering if you need his details from 1881,
    there is a William John Japha b Germany 1820 & in 1881 he's at 3 Aubrey st Everton ,
give us a shout if you want/need the rest of the details .

Died aged 71 in June 1891 West Derby, 8B 306.

    Hi Denis
If you phone Liverpool Direct they take calls on behalf of cemertries,
if you give them his Full name & date of death they may be able to locate
where he is , they'll ask what relation if any you are & also require your e mail .

    Good luck
    Karen

    Hello Jo.

If you're in Liverpool. Join the records office search room with two utilities bills then ask for the street photos index and enjoy.......

GNOMIE WROTE A BOOK I think he is going on about the Workhouse books in Liverpool Library.

Sadly Gnomie is now gone as he fell on a Spike.

But enough about him. Try St Helens Library as a starting point, Im sure they will know if records survive.

    Default birth look up

hi, if you still go to the record office could you poss look for a birth for me, i have found a christening for this person, but i need the actual birth, he was christened in st peters april 1819, i should think he was in that parish when born, he is john sephton (sefton) born 1819 liverpool. i only know his father was edward sephton (stonemason) i travelled up to liverpool record office some time ago and just did not have time to look for it with everything else i needed, i would much appreciate it, c sephton.

Don't know where to put this Kev?The Independent news paper has unearthed a load of ww1 photosof british soldiers on glass plates.
they are unable to ID them as there is nothing writen about them so they are to be put on line in the hope that members of the publice
if theyare recognised will give them a name.it is thought that the photos where taken shortly befor the battle of the somme 1916.
Any way look on there online mag.www.independent.co.uk/unknownsoldiers.to offer info there is a blog set up at http://www.lost-photos.livejurnal.com.
