    Smile Scottie Road Area

Anyone got any memories from Scottie Rd from the late seventies right through to the millenium?? I`m a scouser, aged 39, called Terry, from the area, moved to Oxford 4 years ago, and just found this site last week. Very interesting story of how I managed to land in Oxford, but thats probably not for this thread.......

Gilly, did you once mention the Radcliffe Estate?

From Freddy O'Connor's 'It all came tumbling down'

Some say, not before time for that estate though. How was it for you there, only a year wasn't it?

Interestingly a similarly designed estate still stands in Aigburth Vale and is in good condition.

Just showed me dad that pic of the Raddy and he reckons those particular blocks were on the edge of the estate at the Everton Road end, and the houses that made up the bulk of the estate were slighty different in design and a bit smaller. He's not 100% on that though.

There was a similar estate off Breck Road that lasted quite a bit longer than the raddy, and one in Croxteth just off the east lancs, which is still standing but waiting to be demolished.

Yes Terry. The one off Breck Road contained the Brunel pub within it.

Hey, that's weird that is, if you didn't know it, it gives the impression of not being straight. I know it's a panoramic shot, just looks like it goes round the bend, like me

Didn't expect the South wall of St Joey's to still be there. You don't see many shots of this area online mate. Thanks
