Default Hanging Gardens of Victoria Street!

I had to take these pictures.

How can a building in the heart of the city centre be allowed to get like this?

Maybe the Liverpool One owners have been planting seeds coz want them to fall down so they can expand their empire

Agreed. If they're not council owned, the owners should be made to get them ship shape. If this was a residential garden somewhere, a letter would be landing on your mat. If they're council owned - even worse shame on them.

Another one of those sights, where you mutter to yourself,"someone should do something about that",but often they dont! That's a good idea to send the pic's to the "Echo"! (isn't it?)

I will do just that. some of those trees (thats what some of them are getting to) must be getting large roots, which will force the brickwork apart. Someone will get hit on the head one of these days.

Wonder who the building owner is? (wouldn't be the council, would it?)

Take a look at what looks like deliberate damage to the stonework too (ala Josephine Butler House and the building in St. Thomas st that was desecrated allowing for demolition) as spotted by PhilipG.

My bank was right next door to that building and is now an empty building. Why? Because it's moved to Liverpool One. This being the case it's only a matter of time before that building gets into a similar state.

If that's the Nat West then that's where I opened my first account in September 1980 so as to allow my wages to be paid in. I'm still with them now.

As for Josephine Butler house,I took this pic', and wondered why the brickwork had been stripped off first, before it's demolition?! The site, is now a lovely car park!!
