Harry Rimmer was the Labour Council Leader for quite a while and did a fantastic job including bidding and getting megabucks from European funding. 20 years ago this city was dying and the work done by Harry and other unsung heros helped pull it back from the brink.

What we have now is a vibrant and exciting city. Harry Rimmer really is a great Son of this city and he deserves his Alderman status.

    Hear hear.

Was it City solicitor Keva Coombes who tried and in part succeeded in selling off the city silver?
