Hi Chippie I'm certain they they are Cresswell Mount ,the same photo is in Ged's book In a City Living volume 2 & he says they are Cresswell Mount

heres a photo of Cresswell Mount during demolition in 1984 taken from Everton Terrace -photo from A Pub on every Corner- volume 4

Cresswell Mount also had a small club at the bottom ,I went there a few times

    Default Cresswell Mount

Morning Mandy, the photo from the book is Cresswell Mount, my flat was top left. It didn,t have a club at the bottom but the first flats you put up did. They are two separate blocks. If you want pistols at dawn see my mam

Right. Been doing a bit more digging.

I got my info off the LRO who scribble the whereabouts on the back of the original photies in the search room, however, it further seems to be corraborated (that's a big word Ged) by page 125 of Freddy O'connor's a pub on every corner vol 4 and also on page 53 of my book No.2 (the green one), there is an aerial shot of Gt Homer st from 1986 before HAT bought any of the high rise and so before any demolitions and there doesn't appear to be any high rise that far South (until Rock View). The Braddocks of course stood on the opposite side of Nethy next to the Old Stingo pub.

Default looking for netherfield road photos

Does anyone have any 1950/60s photographs of Garibaldi Street and also the area where Netherfield Road North and South meet around St Georges Hill.

Hiya Mandy. Thanks for that link. The last 2 captions of Freddy's are wrong though. One is of Everton Brow with John F. Kennedy heights in the background. The last one is of Prince Edwin Lane flats.

Chippie, I have some of Garabaldi Heights on my website mentioned below.

    What year was that Ged?

And what are those flats on the right of the second pic? I always thought that's where the Radcliffe started.

Also, where was Logan Towers? Was it in Garston?

It was shut until 5 Chippie.

Terry, the caption for the first one says 1962, the other says early 60s but it could well be the same march.

I don't remember those flats myself but the location looks to be just South of the lock-up between Browside and Eastbourne Walk. The Radcliffe estate of course wasn't built until the 1970s but most of it was south/east of this area behind Whitley Gardens (Shaw st park)

Logan Towers was situated over the bridge (as it's called) between Athol st and Shadwell st - off Boundary st.
