    Alright Dave.

I think the Daily Post and Echo must sneak a look at this site.

It seemed to be a bit of a random thing. It was the pic with a caption under it saying that redevelopment had been going on a lot longer than most people think about. It said here is a photograph of Everton Heights new development being constructed in 1959 as old victorian property exists in its shadow - or words to that effect, I left the paper in work. I think it might've been the letters page.

    Default St. George's Heights

As Google Earth still has it:

Does anyone have any stories of this place?

My lasting memory of this area is me and a mate being chased on our mountain bikes as kids by two lads on a moped with bricks and a baseball bat. We got away too! Scally fu'kers!

Set on St. George's Hill, Everton ridge, it gave them the tallest vantage point over the city. You can see pics of them on my high rise page below.

Actually, someone might clarify if that's correct. There is of course a steep incline up Brunswick Road towards Low Hill. If you continued along West Derby Road you would have eventually came to Sheil Road Heights and i'm not sure if they would have stood on higher ground overall than St. George's.
