    Hello Taffy

I think what you are showing might be what used to be the Trustee Savings Bank where I won a prize for getting a hundred years of pennies in the Sixties. Could that be? The bank was opposite to the baths.

    Thanks

Yes that's right. Lloyd's Bank took over the Trustee Savings Bank some years ago. Hence the new name Lloyd's TSB. Being the only bank in Garston these days, it gets very busy.

Thanks, Taffy. Glad you confirmed my memory of which bank it is.

I'd forgotten about this thread. Took these a few months back...

The mechanism of the University clock tower. Funded by William Hartley who owned the jam factory in Aintree. Clock constructed by WM Potts of Leeds. Note the maintenance record and spare cable, supplied by Potts. Also shown are the bells, which were sponsored by various local figures.

Default Lime Street Station. The main clock.

The station was so busy with 'bizzies' today, but I was determined to get a snap.
I couldn't get it face-on as there was one of the station police standing in the way, so I had to get it from the side.

The large clock at Harry Ramsdens (Sefton Street), has been removed and the hole bricked-up. The building is to become a My Spa health club.

    Default Marie Celeste Clock

Well not quite but on the Marie Celeste 5th floor of Lewis's Department store in Liverpool. The top few floors of this enormous store have been closed for some time. The 5th floor housed the restaurants and ladies' hairdressers. Not sure what the coloured warning lights, or the public address system attached to the clock, were for.

Yes it does look at bit off true. My only excuse is that the photo was taken at the extreme 15X zoom range on my Sony H9. I suspect my hand wobbled a bit!!
