MarkR and Ian David Fryer (FJumble) flank Russell Johnston prior to his informative talk. Russell is the grandson of the Wallace's next door neighbours, John (Jack) Sharpe and Florence Johnston who lived at 31 Wolverton Street. At the time, no fewer than 6 people were living at the Johnston's which makes a mockery of Tom Slemen's story that Jack was the Anfield Housebreaker and murderer of Julia. In fact, it was to Russell's parents, Edgar and Phyllis that Jack and Flo were on their way to on that fateful night when they bumped into the agitated William Herbert Wallace in the back entry who could not gain entry to his own house. The day after the murder, Jack and Flo decided to move into Edgar and Phyllis' at 358 Townsend Avenue to escape the mess that was going on around them.
