Couple of things I noticed there GD within the archive photo - Firstly that the Cathedral in the distance looks unfinished, and secondly I just wasnt aware there used to be a clock tower by the Albert Dock... have any the info on that?

It was only by seeing some pic's on here(Ged's,I think?) that I was aware there was ever a clock! I assumed it was demolished/bombed during WW2.but obviously not,as the date is 1947!? Couldn't find any front views of it neither!

The cathedral wasn`t finished then to the original design,it was thought it was taking to long. A decision was made to shorten the main body ,so it would be finished earlier.
