    Default Dockland images

All these are images taken from a forthcoming film of mine using both cine and digital media. Enjoy.

I'd ask to be consulted on possible use of these images and credited wherever appropriate yah?

Where is the fourth picture, with the overhead walkway between the two buildings, taken? Thanks.

    Porter St. as I recall.

If you look on the map, it's one in a grid of warehouse streets and one of my favourite little areas of Liverpool.

Hope when the development reaches the central docks they retain all this stuff.

i was watching a program about docks and apparently at the time each scoop full of scrap metal from the claw was worth about 400 quid. Don't know if its true but... it looks awful there's potentially a lot of dosh on that dock.

It is sent to Spain and Taiwan. The demise of the British steel industry means the scrap goes abroad - half way around the world. High fuel prices may mean it is cost effective to melt it down in the UK. I wish some steel mill would open up to take that appalling sight away.

We hear about carbon footprints and the like and are all made to feel guilty and pay for extra tax on larger vehicles etc yet we all know that the worlds leaders fly halfway round the globe to summits. I wonder how much cargo goes around the world that could be home produced.
