    Default Williamson Square

Williamson Square in town could do with a facelift.

The shops behind Marksys are a disgrace and it looks really downbeat.

The fountain is a major improvement but the buildings let it down. Also I notice that the fountain is rarely on. I can't see the point in spending out on a fountain if it is never switched on. The Big Wheel was good fun over Chrimbo must say I went on it and near S**t meself when I got to the top.

There used to be a theatre in Williamson Square which was knocked down to make way for the Marksy's goods entrance. The buildings there now are a let down. (Even if they are an improvement on the walkway in the sky stairs which were put up in the 60's or 70's.

Williamson Square has loads of potential but it needs attention.

There was also a pub called the Shakespeare on the corner of Williamson Square. It was pulled down about 10 years ago and has now been replaced by a dull retail unit which no one has any interest in. Another example of civic vandalism in Liverpool.

    ohhh i see.
I do agree with you though, it is a wasted area. there could be a really vibrant little square going on there.
when the new mall gets built though, i fear williamson square will be even more overlooked.

    Williamson Square.

The Shakespeare (Shakey) Pub left Centre.

The Shakey Pub was the Dark Building to the Right.

Same view as Earlier Photo obviously years later. The parked bus left Centre is the same place as in the Earlier photo where the people are standing by the Bus Stop.

What was the green stuff on the second pic?

    continental market ?
    Market Stands= Pure evil.

One parked his stand near my bike when It was locked on the bike locks In clayton square and It knocked one of my old lights off!

They need there own space for market stands instead of parking near bike lock areas!
