Ain't got a clue? I'm sure Lime Street train stations Paraphet extended to where that sloping roof was? this was about 1910/1920? as the corner of commutation row lost two buildings there during the war years. What's the stadium at the back of the lime st photo ?
Just took a nosey on Geds site and he has this pic but smaller than I've posted it and it musta been taken on the st georges column that has now gone and replaced with the water fountain.
Great photos, George.
The Lime Street one (showing London Road) must have been taken from the Wellington Column.
The Stadium was called just that.
Built about 1911 as a skating rink, it became a boxing stadium a few years later.
It was replaced by the Paramount/Odeon cinema on that site (1934) and by Britain's only purpose-built boxing stadium in St Paul's Square (1932).
