    Do you remember when your local shops,looked like this? Or the special promotions,they'd put on in the big stores?

    You can still buy nimble and since I'm one of the large posters I buy it as well as diet coke with lots of unhealthy foods

    Picture #4 is interesting because of 'kake brand'. I remember the furore about shops like Kwik Save purposely using misspellings in that it would be a bad influence on kids. I didn't realise that the trend had started earlier than that. There's probably well more than kake brand and earlier too.

    I thought it might be the Maypole but i remember they used to have the big square tins in front of the counter with biscuits in and of course one on the end for broken biscuits.............................Happy Days

    It could well have been essex , i just remember 'somewhere' looking like that George will tell you what my memory is like !
