    Geograph is quite good but sometimes it is rather user unfriendly. There are some good Merseyside views though!

    An observation on the inconsistencies of the Ordnance Survey as shown on the Geograph site. For Hilbre Island, they carefully mark, "Church (site of)" of which there is absolutely no physical remainder today. And yet, if you look at the Ordnance Survey map of New Brighton, Fort Perch Rock is not marked at all. They mark the lighthouse at "Perch Rock" and the different breakwaters and the marine lake, but if you didn't know the fort was there, the map would not tell you.
