    Default Another "old" Liverpool Vid

I "borrowed" 5 old cine films a little while ago. Finally got a 16mm projector too. These old cine films, the majority of the footage wouldn't really interest people if they never knew the main location they were filmed in. They are from the 30's, 50's and 60's.
Anyway, I have managed to cut out some footage that may interest some folk on here, footage of Liverpool city centre at Christmas in the 60's.
It also has some footage of Codman's Punch & Judy during a summer fair.
Please bear in mind, the "running" filming was shaky, but you do get glimpses of outside Owen Owen, Blacklers and T.J.'s at Christmas, among other locations. OH, and turn the sound down a bit, I have put a song over it to try and drown out the sound of the projector !
Thanks to JMLE for his assistance

Someone should retrace some of those roads now...

It's interesting to see how few cars were on the road - either driving or parked....

That was a wonderful little film,it showed our city in all its smokey glory.Your right Az gila, there were very few cars about then and what there were were mostly bangers.Rust was a popular colour back then, but we did have a cracking tram and bus service . I was almost homesick watching it,thanks,

Spot on George, thanks for the advice.
I had a couple of hiccups along the way but got there in the end.
The full DVD is about 30 mins but these were the best bits of around Liverpool.
