    Riverside Junior and Primary schools 1945-1951

    Gorsedale Secondary Modern 1951-1955

    I went to St Silas primary, which was the school "Ringo" went to years earlier ! my headmaster was Mr Lancely and the best teacher had to be Miss McKnutt !, then on to Liverpool Girls College in Grove Street where the headmisstress was Miss Cadman Smith.

    Ah yes Miss McKnutt. She didn't have far to get to work, she only lived in Devonshire Road.

    She lived there for years !, do you remember her special desk ?, a real old raised desk with attached seat on casters !!
