    Angry Everton Library

I went past Everton Library today & noticed that large pieces of wood were on the pavement ,when I crossed over I found out they were from the tower
I love that building as it was my next doorneighbour when I lived in Petton Street ..........even though I lived next door my books were always over due

how long before the city firebug is called in

this one was taken a couple of years ago

    It's depressing, isn't it?

    Everton Library.
    Lister Drive Library.
    The Florrie.
    And so on.

They'll all probably go the same way as the Listed, then de-Listed Beaufort Street School.
    ie: Demolished.

I went past Lister drive library this morning. What a shame it is to leave that building in such a state.

My Granddad and his crew helped build Lister Drive. This is from about 1904. Anyone who wants to use this pic, feel free to do so.

When the smoke has cleared and the bullets cease.another soldier rests in peace. The politicians who caused the fight, rest at home no danger in sight

    Hi Bernie,
a bit late, but some pic's I took of Carnegie Library, today! Sad to see it in it's present state, probably awaiting demolition! At the back, there looks like there was an ornamental garden, with paths/lights,but all overgrown now! Couldn't get a shot of the front this time, due to roadworks, near the main entrance.
    Steve.

Not arf, and the baths (now fisheries/pet shop) could do with the grounds clearing. It looks awful.
