The usual pattern of voting at a General Election usually means that one of the two major parties will win. Clegg has entered as one of the possible winners because of the 'Celebrity' debate and his hanging onto the coat-tails of Vince Cable.
Cables, Cassandra prophesies on the run-in to the credit crunch and economic chaos have done well for the Lib-Dems but the old saying: "Scratch a Liberal and you'll find a Tory underneath" holds sway when you look at their performance. Liverpool City Council which has a Lib-Dem administration is a typical example.

I don't have the privilege of voting for an Independent, Green or Anti Sleaze Candidate. I will not vote Tory or anything related to them, so I'm stymied.
But maybe you do. Use your vote well.

IF I vote (and I never have) it could well be Green

My MP is Derek Twigg. He has been the Labour MP for Halton since 1997 and I was in the same class as him at school. Not much to say about him really. Not much scandal in the way of expenses, keeps his head low. He's pretty dull, duller than Professor Dull of the university of Dullnesshire! He achieved the heady heights of Junior Minister for War Veterans and when he was offered another Ministerial post after the last election, he refused it. I suspect he doesnt see eye to eye with Brown. Doesn't do much but tends to speak a lot about Hillsborough and how the Police were to blame etc.

Well that's not a bad place to start, Underworld. Andy Burnham could do with listening to him.

My MP George Howarth has a constituency that lost several at the Hillsborough game and he opposed a public inquiry into the tragedy. The Hillsborough Family Support Group said were going to stand against Howarth, but it come to naught.

I would have liked them to put a candidate up.

I've a good mind to print that out and post it back to her leaflet style. Hypocrite of the highest order that a party can deny you your own money and move the goalposts whilst claiming inflated expenses with our money. Pfft.

Anyone else see the Green Party's election broadcast last night? I thought it was very good.
