I was always against this arena complex being built over the Kings Dock - the best place for it is across the dock on the land side of Queens Dock. The optimist in me said it may end up a real nice complex though when completed. I walked around there recently and my original view has been re-inforced. It looks out of place, the wrong colour and just tatty. It does not not compliment the red brick Albert Dock Buildings next to it. In time when weathered it is going to look dire. And they turned down Brunswick Quay Tower which was stainless clad!!!!!

Yes there is a multi-floor car park on the edge of the dock too - to compliment the one on the quay at Princes Dock. Duh!!!! It doesn't give hope for a stable, pleasant environment, high quality future.

Many people in the council need sacking for all this.

morning waterways. I too think that our long awaited for it arena has ended up a penny pinching mess. It doesn,t stand as a good example of modern , well built expectations of many a Liverpolitan at all.

Mind you I do think it is a perfect example of the kind of tat that is being put up throughout the country.

Isn,t it funny how nearly everything is under costed and ends up a flippin, let down.

To think, only due to the incompetence of Everton FC, a 55,000 seater stadium would have covered the whole lot by now. What a disaster that would have been!!!! Thank God Bill Kenright is such a pillock.

It wouldn't be a disaster if it was to come here next year, they always show the cities taking part in a good light I think, couldn't handle all of the wannabes on a personal level though.
