    The view in Margaret Street
The old water tower on the corner of Margaret St and Hodgson Place. built in 1864,a cast iron tank 12 ft deep sits 90 ft off the ground supported by pillars that wouldn`t be out of place in a cathedral

Yeah. Our schools baths lessons were in Margy right by here. Does look good all lit up purplish blue at night and can be seen for miles around.

I really like this pic. Got quite a few city engineers aerial views. This one shows part of the South Everton slum clearance area West of Shaw Street. Radcliffe, Eastbourne and Westbourne Streets have been readied for the much maligned Radcliffe Estate. The Water Tower is prominent, as are the piggeries and Sheil Road heights.

Anyone got one of Spencer Street Corpy depot? My Grandad worked there before he went off to war.

I mentioned it here as the depot was right by the water tower.

I got Spencer Street out once especially for you Spike and though there's a couple of pics of clearance around there, not one of the corpy yard i'm afraid.

Inspired by Joe, I took a trip up there tonight.

You only get the feel of the ultra violet light type glow from afar, my camera doesn't do it justice.
