    I remember Bernard O'Higgins, was it in Chile? There are Bernard O'Higgins avenues, Universities, Parks, monuments. I remember thinking it was a joke. It weren't it was real. Funny old World.

    Thanks for keeping the thread alive Pablo. There's always the chance it will trip the old memory.

    Bernardo O'Higgins; Liberator of the the Chilean people from the Spanish Conquistadors in the early 1800s. Bernardo O'Higgins was of Irish and Basque descent.
    Must have been one the first separatists!
