Default Sights we may never see again but would like to

There are places that I've been to and would like to visit again. Preferably under the Red Ensign, but as that is not possible a photo would suffice.
When I get into a conversation with other Merch and we're swingin' the lamp, one item that crops up but has proved difficult to get is a photo of; O'Higgins name in Stones on a mountain at Antofagasta. It was a landmark on the Chilean coast.

Another sight that has eluded me is the silhouette of a WW1 soldier (Tommy Atkins) on the rock-face in the Dardanelles. Some people doubt its existence.

Maybe someone on here has a photo or negative they could lend or upload.

Thanks to you both for trying to sort me out with a solution to the quest that has eluded me for years.

Alas, it is still unresolved, but I am grateful for your help.

I have some photos somewhere of Berardo O`Higgins Statue from Punta Arenas and Valparaiso, I`ll post them if I can find them, One good thing is the Scandi Bar is still open in Valpo. i was in there 4 years ago, got the photos. I remember all the graves on the hillsides of the Dardenelles as we sailed through to the Black Sea on the `Memphis`

Here's what I mean. I know it's not in the Michelangelo class but it is better than Van Gogh. Yeh?

Hopefully you can imagine the size of the silhouette. The rock-face was slightly banked and a light sandstone colour.
Maybe someone has seen a similar figure somewhere else. If so I would be grateful for any info.

Thanks to Scousesmurf, George and Captainkong for their replies

I think az_gila is more than likely right. I've searched the links you have posted and this pic shows the monument from a vessel. It's too close to my mind's imprint, plus the geographical location, for it to be anything but the silhouette I remember.
It was in 1960 that I saw it, so taking into account the gallons of Wrexham Lager, Cuba Libre's and Large Whites. The old brain isn't what it used to be and I was slightly out. Definitely not a Tommy.
Therefore I've satisfied myself that the case is now closed.

Thanks to you I've found what I was looking for.

I must apologise for not thanking Captain Kong on the day of posting for offering to help with Bernado O'Higgins thingy.
    No excuse for bad manners.

    Thats OK Oddsocks.
I have been searching for the photo of Bernardo O`Higgins statue. He is a big Hero in Chile, fighting for Independence from Spanish Rule.
I have been there a few times with PSNC and then on a cruise to the Chilean coast so I made a point of taking the photo.. When I find it I will post it.
    Cheers
    Brian

Which would probably make it this one...

    Those Irish get everywhere....

Wiki has a lot of info...

Bernardo O'Higgins Riquelme (August 20, 1778 - October 24, 1842), was a Chilean independence leader who, together with José de San Martín, freed Chile from Spanish rule in the Chilean War of Independence. Although he was the second Supreme Director of Chile (1817–23) (O'Higgins was the first holder of this title to head a fully independent Chilean state), he is considered one of Chile's founding fathers. Bernardo O'Higgins was of Irish and Basque descent.

Sadly, the statue was apparently destroyed in the recent Chile earthquake...
