I think the St Peter and St Paul church started out as a Welsh Chapel in 1904. It was taked over by the Society of St Vincent de Paul in the 1980s (might have been a bit earlier) and as you say, it maintained the Latin mass, which was a feature of that Society.

St Cyprians corner of Edge Lane and Durning Rd soon to be demolished

Went to school round the back of St. Teresa's! Always liked that style of architecture.

The missus school was round the back and mine was over the road. I spent many hours on the steps as a teen snogging the face of a cute girl. Happy days.

I recently wrote a short piece for a newsletter at work about the views from St. George's Hill. From this I learnt that the church was one of three known as the "Iron Churches" due to the large amount of cast iron used in their construction. It was the earliest of the three churches built by John Cragg the owner of the Mersy Iron Foundry.

There were stalls at the Merseyside History Festival at the St. Georges Hall over last weekend dedicated to St. Georges and SFX. I had a good chat at both.
