    10th April

All Saints church, Childwall, with the Childwall Abbey pub (where I'd just come from) to the left.

It's a really nice place to look around, unfortunately the crypt was closed by the time we arrived so didn't get a chance to go down there.

We're definitely lucky to have 2 amazing cathedrals

Can you just go in at any time? How much is it? Do you need to book?

Someone will know more about it than me but, the Catholic is free except for the crypt and the Anglican is free except for the tower.

Don't need to book and I can imagine the only time u can't go is when it's closed or when they've got a service on

    Wednesday 14th April 2010.

    Liverpool University - Brownlow Hill.

I took a series of 20 odd shots of this as it changes colour, the rest to be added to my site tomorrow. This is probably the most striking though but if I flick through them all on my computer, it's like watching the building change colour in fast forward.

Someone commented on my pic on flickr and gave me the link to it. Says below it was part of john lewis's but wikipedia says it's part of the lewis's chain.

This is where the concept was born. At a dinner in Broughton Hall, West Derby in 1869 , William Imrie and Thomas Ismay decided they would form a partnership, which would lead to the creation of the famous White Star Shipping Line.
