Here's another. I believe I photographed this on Water Street right across the street from the Town Hall.

Default Manchester and Liverpool District Bank

This coat of arms in on the former Manchester and Liverpool District Bank and it's one of the rare times you see Manchester's and Liverpool's coat of arms alongside each other (also to be seen on the former Exchange Station). Seperating the two is a sovereign of Queen Victoria.
Just next door at No.1 Water Street is another Liver bird, standing almost upright with a very human stance. He's in gold and this used to be the offices of the Liverpool Building Society. I'll try and post a photo if I can work out how to!

Looks like you can only post photos if they're on a website so I won't be able to post the golden liver bird.
    Sorry.

    Sorry.
Just realised that I have a picture of it on one of the pages of my site.

Hopefully, it should be visible here.

Just to add, also on that site is my favourite Liver Bird. Ever wondered what he does on his day off? He and his mate let their hair down and dance to the sound of cherubs playing the horn and cymbols. I think they're so cute!
They're from the former Leyland and Bullins Bank on Castle Street - now RBS.

Can anyone help me ??? I'm trying to get hold of an A4 size copy of the Coat of Arms as used on the Corpy trams and buses. But no success so far. It needs to be A4 so that I can get Vinyl Copies made for whoever wants them.
I tried the Mereyside Transport Trust. But no luck. Also The Crich Tramway Museum , same result. The best so far was a nice young Lass from the City Library who managed to send me an A3 size, but as she had already enlarged it , it wasn't any good for copying as the detail was'nt good enough

You say you tried the Merseyside Transport Trust but have you conferred with forum member MerseysideTransportTrust who uses the Coat of Arms as their logo and may be able to supply it in the size you want or could tell you where to get it? Another suggestion that occurs to me is that maybe you could shoot it yourself off the side of the bus that was on display for the Lord Mayor's Parade at St. George's Hall and have it blown up to the size you want.
