    I bet it later expanded and the womens part became Barkhill PE Training College (now IM Marsh) near Holt's field, Mossley Hill.

    As the beer drinking uni students of the 60's called it -- "home of the Amazon Women"....

    Yep... but I remember Barkhill College. I lived my first 20 years only 1/2 mile away from it, and one of my first girl friends, "Wendy from Wales" went there. She had a thing for curates though, and she married the curate at Mossley Hill Church...

    Besides, Google seems to search England as well as the US....
