    Default Rice Lane 1960s

Reading through my posts, I feel the need to redress some of the criticism I have thrown at the politicians and planners who contributed to the relandscaping of Liverpool. Good pic Colin, looks like part of it is on fire, maybe to help along the demolition !

Great that Colin. There's a chap on flickr with similar colour photos of Walton from the 50s/60s.

That block is from where the breeze hill/Queens Drive roundabout now is with Walton Village veering off to the left. The tudor style pub at the top end is called the brown cow.

I worked at Dunlop's from 1967 - 73 and walked up and down that stretch of Rice Lane thousands of times, for my bus on Queen's Drive.
