    Question Listed Buildings

How can I expand my research if you know a building is listed. The building in question is 44 Ullet Road, it's a grade 11 listed building that info came from the LCC website but it was in a PDF format so you cant expand the search, Is there a website where you can go that gives you a little history of a building if it is listed?

All's I know about the building is it was developed by a cotton merchant 'Rankin' and if you know it you will notice that it has a tower, this was used by Mr Rankin as a look out for his ships crossing the Mersey Bar. He left 'Rankhin Hall' in his will to Liverpool University who used it as a hall of residence for female students. It later became a thai restaurant called the King and I, in the seventies it was sold off and became Lau's Chinese restaurant and later the Millenium Hall. Following the closure of that business it was bought by my then landlord Mr.Tek Ng who also owned other restaurants in the city and in Spain. The building has since been sold and is now luxury flats.
