    Who remembers flower seller Lizzie Christian.?

    I remember seeing her when I was a kid. The reason I remember her so well is because she had a really old face but was tiny probably just a bit taller than me. What a character though.

    Yes, I remember her as a kid, think she used to be around Clayton Square somewhere, she was a flower seller/ fruit and veg seller for about 60 years, she had 11 children and was one of 12 herself. She had a very hard life, which I think showed in her face.

    No,I don't,I do remember a woman that used to sell the Echo every night on Dale St,should do...she lived in our street...now then what was here name, Mrs...?

    I remember her. There's a photograph of her on the wall in The Globe pub.

    Didnt she used to be outside of Central station at one time? I seem to recognise her from the late 50s and early 60s

    That's where I remember her from! Another missed local character.

    Irealise that I'm some months late, but I too, remember Lizzie from outside Central station, one of the last of the 'shawlies'?
