Question for you ale buffs: Which pub has a sign up outside saying our ale is out of this world - with some 'out of this world creatures painted on it'

    I'll post it up next.

(I was taking a pic of the Hartley's Jam factory area big chimney to post on where is this located thread but a car sped past with a gang of nossers shouting kn0b head and I fell of my bollard.)
It's when your bollards start falling off your body that you've got to worry!

I am not sure what this pub was, but have a look at the statue on top!

John Williams AKA Mersey Mouth wrote a story about the Axeman.

All his stories are worth a read and he also has a book published.

Daisy, fantastic pub pics of one of my favourite parts of Liverpool.

I think it's the Hamlet Pub on Kirkdale Road/Boundary Street East, not to be confused with the one on Scottie

I have a vague memory of the tartan photographer Gerard, but my memory if failling on that one. I think I was always half shot when I got into there anyway, and I was always arguing with one of my mates about something or other

Default Merseybeat Pub, Park St, L8

    Hi all
In relation to what buildings are standing today, does anyone know where the Merseybeat pub stood?
It is listed as 56 Park Street.

Wotcha Daisychains, yep the 'Beat was in Park st. it was built late 60's, and was knocked down in the 80's due to subsidance. It was closed and knocked down in a week. It was my neighbors local, he went on holiday on the Saturday, came back and went for a pint, and walked past where it stood before he realised it was gone!!! It was nt a bad little ale house.

I wanted to go to the Canon after the game tonight but my mate couldnt be bothered walking down that far so we only got as far as the Elm House, where they only had Stones on which is awful. I think the Winchester is the best place on that stretch of Townsend Lane.
