    Default Football Streets

Does anyone have any old photos of 3 streets that were demolished to make way for both Everton FC & Liverpool FC expansions. They were Claudia Street & Leta Street (EFC) & Kemlyn Road (LFC) respectively. My Mother lived in Kemlyn Rd as a child. When I was a kid I used to play in the derelict houses, shortly before demolition in Claudia st (& got leathered by my Pa when he found out..!) .

Cheers Kev, I will await more news.

Just realised, those 2 streets near EFC WERE NOT demolished due to EFC's expansion. Claudia & Leta streets were in fact located further up, off City Rd on the RHS (just after the fork with Goodison & past St Luke's Church). Think the area is now known as Mere Green. Old photos still wanted tho.
However, there was a small row of lovely georgian terraces (A 'T' road) 1st street off Goodison Rd, again on the RHS, that WERE demolished when EFC expanded right back onto Walton Lane. Can't remember the name of this street tho... My mother had a friend who lived in one, who had to move out (poor gal). Photos also wanted.

It's always worth trying the Record Office (4th floor, Central Library).
Their collection of photos is phenomenal, and there's an index of streets.

What a fantastic website! I wouldn't have come across it if I wasn't doing a search for Claudia Street. Do a search for Liverpool
