I remember in the 60s we had snow a couple of feet deep and was on the
ground for weeks, no buses, trains very few cars on the road, struggling
to get home, AH, they were the good old days....
Because my kids have never really seen snow and I'm going to bury them.

I'm staying inside in the warm, looks to be turning to sleet now so people better hurry, but more is forecast for Saturday.

Winnipeg, Manitoba is experiencing wind chill factors of -44 this morning. Now that's cold.

I have a mate who lives in Baker Lake in the far north of Canada. He tells me snow is on the ground from August to May, it never goes above 12 celsius in summer, and this week he has been digging his way out of the front door.

    Sounds a lot like Manchester.

Baker Lake, Nunavut, present temperture is -30 with a wind chill of -46. That is a two degree difference, in both tempeture and windchill, between Baker Lake and Winnipeg. Wonder if you can actually tell the difference?

Bah. I drove around Wirral after 11ish and most of the snow had gone so I skipped nipping to Liverpool. I'd love to get blizzard shots but the snow was too light really. Its funny just how different everything looks in snow. I didn't recognise some of the streets at first

There's a place in northern Ont called white river, big sign as you drive in states that it holds the Canadian record for cold, -72 wthout the chill factor, not only will ya nostrils freeze, but steel breaks at these temps. .
