Default Salt Rock mines at Winsford

I went down the Salt Rock mines at Winsford, amazing, its so big you drive around in an open top transit bus, it even has a cinema down there to show publicity and safety films to visitors
The machinery is huge, all laser guided, the diggers and other wagon have been down there for years (they don't rust) they are taken down in pieces and rebuilt underground, once down there they will never come back up. we were down there for hours. They have allowed some filming to be done down there, I can't remember which movies/Tv series
There now have storage facilities down there and have boxes and boxes of items, files and records from National Archives and Libraries. plus number of other government departments.
All the medical records for Leighton Hospital are down there plus lots of other items, its like a number of huge warehouses underground secure and safe.

We went down with a friend of a friend, they don't do vistors tours anymore only customers or potential customers for the storage facilities

Took loads just didn't work out down there, so dark and reflective vests that we had to wear played murder with the photos.
