Default The State of the Onion (CTG)

    First off, it stinks.
And there are so many layers,
    no wonder nothing gets done.
    Or undone.

    Well done Chris

You know your onions! [an expression of UK origin, not sure whether it's used in the US?]

ONION: from about 1130AD - formed from the Anglo-Fr. word "Union" [meaning the joining of things] and from O.Fr. word "Oignon" from L. Unionem (nom. unio), colloquial rustic Roman for "a kind of onion".

Now, you really do know your onions!

Thank you, dazza. I didn't know that information about the onion so it's great to learn it.
