    Default Looking for my cousin

Perhaps you could help me too. I was born and brought up in Bootle and my cousin used to live in Selwyn Street Kirkdale. He was born about 1953 and I lost touch with him 35 years ago. We were very close as children. His dad died when he was young. His name was William (Billy) Mitchell. Don't know if he still lives in Liverpool, or even if he is still alive. Thanks Lynne

I put this on the end of another thread by accident . sorry if redoing it causes problems

    Still no luck then Lynne?

Have you tried the 'Scottie Press'. Might be a slim chance.

Have e mailed the Scottie Press (before moving to Selwyn St he lived in Silvester st) I don't know how to contact the electoral roll and I don't think he is in the same area but that is just a thought.
    Thanks Lynne

Thank you for that information. Unfortunately he was an only child. His mother was called Nancy but that was her middle name and surname Gibson. His father was Richard Mitchell. I will try friends reunited although I have done a search. I will try looking for his school. He went to The Royal Masonic School for Boys in Bushey as a boarder after his dad died and returned to Liverpool about 1969 and worked for the council possibly on the bins.
    Thanks again Lynne

Its a shot in the dark Lynne but given his Mason links he could do worse than to contact them. I presume his Dad or a male relative was a Mason given he became a Boarder at a Masonic School. Their nearest Lodge , to Selwyn Street, was (I would think) until recently in Bootle but its just moved to Litherland (the old Conservative Club) I will ask my Brother in Law who is involved in that one. Perhaps he entered the Masons or his family are still linked. The nearest Lodge the other way, I think, might be the Hope Street one. Its just a suggestion. Good luck.

His father was definately in the masons but he died. I think he was part of Fideles lodge?? They used to live in Gascoyne street before they were married then Silvester Street off Scotland Rd. I have gone on friends reunited and put a message on RMSchools message board. (Had to pretend I went there!!) Please ask your brother in law . The whole of the male Mitchell family were Masons.

    thanks Lynne
