I don't know, it's just a little religious meeting place and it's been there for decades.

The physiological changes that come with cold acclimatisation aren't compatible with fast competitive swimming, and I also lost quite a lot of my cardiac muscle after a heart attack back in '01. I really would like to take part in the cross-Mersey swim even though I may well have to hitch a lift in the safety boat part way across, although saying that I can cover a mile in around an hour. Most of my swimming is in the R. Weaver in Frodsham and Hatchmere in Delamere Forest, although I regularly visit New Brighton. Unfortunately I wouldn't pass the medical required before a Channel swim although I think I'd manage a relay.

By the way, if you were in one of the waves going in from the pontoon I may have a shot of you diving in.
I was the very last person to dive in off the pontoon, except "Robin".

I don't know what, "YWAM" means to any of you, but a search for this mission results in issues (pdf) of TFH News [Together for the Harvest'.. Issue 19 Boasts the tale of, "A WEEk IN
    THE LIFE OF
GARY LACEY". I shall pop over and take a look.

This is the largest parrbellum warehouse in the World. Another best in the World for Liverpool.

I believe this is currently empty.

The first slave brought into the city were brought into this building. You can still see the names carved into the walls.

This is the top of Birkenhead Town Hall. I don't think it is the Town Hall anymore though. I believe they have made it into a Museum.
