Wellington Road: It's been on fire again, but luckily the Fire Station is just around the corner. I noticed some workmen and some large containers at the rear (Harlow Street side), so maybe something is going to happen to this building.
Trivia: The Childrens TV drama 'Rocky O'Rourke' (1976) filmed a scene inside the school hall (the series was filmed around Liverpool)

I would try to post it but I am a cave man with a pc??And can't find the flyer. I went there in me school days. a good solid building for now!!

Default Lister Drive Primary School (old school building)

I haven't got any pics of this school which I used to go to. It was demolished a couple of years ago after a fire. Anyone got any pics? It was a great building which some people wanted listing. (It was next to Lister Drive Library)

It isn't. Those flats are on Mill St which is behind Beaufort St. Entwistle was further across and up parly.

This is my wifes alma mater, she holds fond memories of the place. Her home, when she attended the school, is still standing at 138 Upper Parliament Street.

    Default St Mary's West Derby

Interesting old Church of England school building in West Derby, Liverpool. It's still in use with modern buildings at the rear suitably blended in using sandstone exteriors.

    Default Old School

Hi there, I was brought up overlooking the old school in School lane, for many years it was used by the council as a potting shed used for caring for the Rose Gardens in Woolton Woods, if anyone remembers there was a Cookoo Clock and small Fish Pond with Fountain in the middle.
After the councils use finnished it was converted and used as a private house for several years.
There had been many crashes into the stucture of the building over the years, (some unfortunatly fatal), I even crashed my motorbike into it more than once usualy avoiding cars as the road narrows at thet point and is also on a bend.
I have just been listening to the children playing in the gardens of the old school, its good to know it still has its uses

Don't want to offend any Catholic sensibilities here - especially now with all the leaked suggestions about the Pope's visit! - but if it was Our Lady Immaculate, why did she need cleaning?!...
