    Default Tiltshift images of Liverpool

A strange one - unsure where to post!

I have been playing with a process called tilt shift. Basically its toyng with images depth of field. You can buy an expensive lens or use software....

You end up with a sort of miniature effect. Take a look....

Not Liverpool (though the background boat is the Liverpool vessel 'Vanguard') but it's a great example...

    Hello Corky

Very interesting effect. It seems to achieved by creating a depth of field effect, putting some of the shot out of focus and the main part of the photograph into extreme focus and detail. The effect is much less obvious to me on that concert shot than with the other shots you show.

    All the best

That's an unusual effect. Does it work in the opposite direction. What happens if you photograph models and reverse the effect.

    Fantastic images corky,

The world according to Gulliver. And bizarrely, it's brought the La Princesse spider down to size.

    Very cute I must say.

A bit of a strain at first, maybe that's because I'm up early!

What program did you do this in Corky?

Some versions of photoshop don't have the "Lens" distortion tools in them.

It can easily be done using the "Gaussian Blur" method.
