    This is one of my old colour slides of the Empress of Britain in the Gladstone graving dock. Just learned today she was scrapped in 2008 after a chequered career of about 5 changes of owners and names including between 2003 and 2008 the Peace Ship "Topaz".

    I wish they would stop using Liverpool to break up ships. It is degrading for the port. Liverpool is not a graveyard for ships. It is a home for ships.
